Love and Marriage...

Today Ross and I celebrate 5 years of marriage! It amazes me that we are here so fast, yet at the same time I can't imagine my life without him in it. We have been so blessed in our marriage, foremost by our heavenly Father who gives us a glimpse of His infinite love through the example of marriage, but also by our families who have given us strong examples of commitment and friends who help make it all the more fun! Luke has been such a joyous addition to our family and honestly made us "complete." I love and adore you sweet husband, here's tipping our hats to minimum 50 more!

Ross and I on our honeymoon in NYC. Here we are at the famous Carnegie Deli after seeing a broadway show. When we left it started snowing...picturesque! P.S. The awesome R.C. Slocum (former Aggie football coach) had an autographed mugshot on the wall behind us!

Fun, Festivites and Friends!

Our family feels SOO incredibly blessed by the wonderful friends God has placed in our lives. Not only are Ross and I lucky enough to have the closest of friends from elementary school still the closest of friends, we have also made new friends here in Dallas that we consider as good as family. We have had a lot of fun celebrating the holidays with our friends and wish that we could see everyone this time of year. Solution to this problem is everyone just moving to D-town and then it's festivities year round!
Thank you all for being so near and dear to us, we love you all and wish you the Merriest of Christmas' and a blessed New Year!

This is our small group Christmas night out (sans little ones). We went to the Grand Lux Cafe (Yummy!) Everyone made it into this picture except the Martins (Missed you guys, but we understand those office parties probably trump this) and Kristi...but alas...
Nope, not yet...
There she is...although this is such a papparazzi shot. Ross
will have to work on his surprise snapping.
Our fur friend...ever so faithful!

Kelly showing Luke a football, I'm sure they'll get lots of practice in, even though
Luke is rooting for the right team, Kelly the wrong. :)
"You're... you're crazy man. I like you, but you're crazy. "
Partners in crime...here you see Avery spotting the target.

"Get over here and help me!"

"Almost got it, any second I'm sure."
"Ummm, mom can you help me really quick?" Who could resist this charm?!

Devilish grin if I've ever seen one, too bad I know he's an angel at heart!

"HOOOO... HOOO... HOO... And what's your name little boy?"

And that's exactly what I thought of Santa...scary!

So I didn't get a good picture with Santa...the tears flowed as soon as I left mom's arms and went into his. I don't care what anyone says, I've never been more scared!

However, we did get some good pictures at Portrait Innovations. No scary bearded man there, just mom, Grams, Pops and Uncle Scott...as you can see the results were pretty good!

Nine is mighty fine!

For those of you who love math, I know you will appreciate knowing that I'm 3/4 of a year old! I've hit the nine month mark and am officially in the home stretch to completing my first year. I'm constantly being told how much I'm growing and learning and I tend to agree. So for those inquiring minds, here are nine pretty interesting tidbits about ME!
1. Stats: I'm weighing in at 20 lbs, 11oz these days (50th percentile) and am 30 inches long (97th percentile).
2. I've recently learned to put my blocks back in their bucket, and then of course shake them all out again...and sneak them in my mouth for a good soaking a few times.
3. No crawling for this guy just yet, but I can wiggle my little toosh (think Bewitched nose) and move backwards...I'm holding out on this one and am in no rush.
4. I love watching musical programs much to mom's delight. I really pay attention to live performances like Josh Groban and got really excited watching an ice skating performance, other than that the t.v. doesn't amuse me much right now.
5. I have started feeding myself some solids. I really like my carrot wheels and biter biscuits. However, diced peaches and pears are my favorite!
6. I have expanded my vocabulary from mmmm's to mama, dada (my absolute favorite thing to say) and ba. Mom is trying to teach me Tay for Taylor, but no dice yet. I also, can repeat these when mom tells me to do them first.
7. From day one I have always been a back sleeper, until lately I curl up pretty nicely on my side with my blanket closet by...it's pretty comfy and mom says pretty cute.
8. Bath time has become my favorite time of day, I try to stay in my tub as long as possible and sometimes cry when we leave. My favorite toy is a bath basketball that squirts water at me, it's hilarious!
9. I started to give my first kisses. Mom is the lucky recipient and they always catch her by surprise, but I wouldn't have it any other way. They have always been super slobbery and on her cheek, but I have a feeling she loves them!

Sharing is not something I've mastered yet as you can see, and
I'm pretty sure you know this isn't my flower to begin with!

On a walk with Papa...
and let me reiterate, no motorized vehicles on the park premises!
