Getting Ready

Nesting for me = mucho work for Ross, but he has been the best husband and such a trooper. No complaining AT ALL for all the little and then not so little tasks I've asked of him the past couple of months. He finished Luke's new room and we successfully moved him over there without any hitches. I think he really enjoys his big boy bed and being able to stretch out.

We have some art work ideas for above the beds, but it's a work in progress. I'm wanting vintage cars/motorcycles/helicopter, but I can't decide on the style.
Also, you'll see on Luke's bed his puppy he made from Build a Bear (another post coming soon). He was so excited about that stars and stripes puppy.

We got Luke's new furniture off of Craig's List and Ross painted it to match the bedding. I was so pleased with it and even more pleased with the price...such a steal!

After finishing that paint job, he was off to the nursery to spruce it up. We used the same bedding as Luke, but needed some color in the room because it had never been painted since we moved to a new house. Ross did a great job of adding chair rail and a hint of color because it's a small room (due to the fact that I really wanted an extra bed in the nursery for the late nights) and too much color would have been too much.

It is so weird having the mattress high again and the bumper pads back in the crib. A little reality check with that one. I do love this bedding though, and I'm glad we were able to use it again!

A basket full of teeny tiny newborn diapers...let's see how long one basket last!

And one last project for me, putting baby brother's name up on the wall. I have the letters and materials, it's just a matter of doing it. I'll post it once I'm finished.

All in all, we're ready, or as ready as we're going to be! I'm just so excited to get this phase started as a family of four and to see how the dynamic changes from having one to two. We'll keep you posted with our little man's arrival information!!
