10 Month Top Ten
Here's Reid's Top Ten for Ten Months:
1. He is becoming quite the busy baby boy. Not only has he started crawling (before he just army crawled, because the wood floors were too hard), but also pulling up. We lowered the crib mattress and it's a good thing. As soon as we come in the room, even if he's asleep, he pops up as fast as he can and pulls up. It's so funny how he tries to wake himself up and get started.
2. He loves to say "mama" when he's sad or needs something (go figure), and "dada" when he's having a good time. When eating he says "mmmm", most of the time.
3. He is still not a fan of green veggies, but we'll keep working on it. However, he does like pasta, crescent rolls and french fries.
4. The teeth are finally starting to come in! He has two bottom teeth. He had a harder time than I remember with Luke with them coming in. He was fussy for a day, but a little Tylenol fixed him right up.
5. He has started having a bit of separation anxiety. When he's dropped off at Joyland there are quite a few tears, but he quickly moves onto all the fun toys.
6. He does so good to sit and play, when brother doesn't take things out of his hands. He loves the "big boy" toys, so I really should just get rid of all the baby toys.
7. He loves to play "patty cake" and has the clapping down. Also, he has started waving, more hello waves than bye (see above note on separation anxiety).
8. Reid is a little tiger! He loves to growl when he's on the prowl, it's so cute! It's a deep throaty growl and I honestly don't know how he does it so long.
9. Reid has started shaking his head "no, no, no, no". I don't know how they pick up on that word or head motion so quickly, but it's almost like it's ingrained. It is funny to watch how fast he does it.
10. He loves wrestling with brother and daddy on the big bed. He has to have a few resting moments when it gets a little rough, but he loves rolling and getting thrown in the pillows - boys will be boys!

How 'bout them Boys?

For 4th of July weekend, we made the trek to Arlington to scope out the new Cowboys stadium. This was a bit of a belated Father's day gift for Ross, but since Nana and Papa were in town that weekend too, it seemed a great time to go.
With the weather raining on and off it was a great indoor activity, and we got to break in the new wheels which was nice since there were 7 of us going together.
We had paid for VIP tickets (via Groupon), but when we got there they were gone, so we did the self-guided tour. All in all, that worked better for us having a 3 year old in tow. Luke loved being able to run all over the field, and we stayed out there for quite a long time. The boys tossed the football around and we just enjoyed that big open space.
A little apprehensive coming onto the big field...none, the less, suited up!

Date Night
Luke and his little blond friend share many passions, one of them being MOVIES! So for their birthday this year they got to go have a "date" complete with lunch at McDonald's, cupcakes and going to see "The Princess and the Frog." They loved it!
Ladies first...
It was so much fun that when another much anticipated sequel to a sequel came out, we made plans for another movie date! These two are so much fun and it's so fun to see a movie with kids. Some of the comments I heard were:
"Where's that big baby?" - Blondie
"Where did the potato go?" - Luke asked this one 10,000 times and
"Can I have another fruit snack?" - Luke (we found Toy Story 3 ones - food is always a priority)
Note these were all said at full volume voices. We are going to have to work on whispers in the theater. None the less, we had a blast and can't wait for another fun date night!
