Reid Philip Moshell

We are so proud and blessed to introduce our son, Reid Philip! He was born Monday, September 28 at 4:07AM. He weighed in at 7lbs, 13 oz and is 20 inches tall.
We were all set to head to the hospital on Wednesday, with the grandparents rolling in Tuesday night, but Reid had toasted enough in the oven and so early Monday morning he let us know he was ready. My water broke around 12:30AM and with the help of our dear friend "Miss Manda", to come and sleep over with Luke, we headed to the hospital. Thankfully they got us to the O.R. quickly because with water breaking comes not so fun contractions. I'm just glad I didn't have them for 25+ hours like when Luke was born. He was still turned breech, so they prepped for the c-section and he was here at 4:07AM.
He was (and still is) perfect, and I kept sending Ross over to check on him because I didn't get to see him for 10-15 minutes, which felt like an eternity. At first, we thought he looked like Luke, but as the hours passed, we could tell he had his own unique and super cute look. I think he has my eyes, but Ross' mouth and cheeks (from looking at his baby pictures). He is such a sweet sweet baby. He loves to cuddle, and is a great eater. When we went back to the his doctor of Friday he was 2 ounces shy of his birth weight. He is such a little love bug and because this is our second time around, I feel like I have been able to soak up the experience so much more and just enjoy this newborn phase. I know it will go by so fast, and it's such a precious time for me.
I will try my best to keep the updates flowing, but if they are a little few and far between you know why. ;)

A whopping 7 pounds, 13 ounces...2 pounds more than Luke.

Getting to hold him for the first time...it felt like forever until I could get this sweet boy in my arms.
One proud daddy, and Reid made it just in time to catch the Cowboys game that evening!

A much less drugged mommy, but happy mommy. As my M.I.L. says "my cup runneth over!"

This is a picture where I see a lot of similarities to Ross' baby pictures...I love those cheeks!
Big brother, meet baby brother. So far, Luke really likes Reid (when he remembers he's here).
All snuggled up with Papa.

Meeting Grams, Grandad and Uncle Ryan for the first time.

Not meeting Uncle Scott who had bronchitis, but he said hello from a distance.
Poor Nana! She is dying to get her hands on him, but she's got a cold, so just a few more days and then she'll get in lots of cuddles. Even with a mask on you can tell she's sad to not get her share of the love.
Aunt Holly came from Austin to visit. Reid loved showing her how he could stick out his tongue and just stared and stared at her.
He loves his swing and so far has spent a lot of time there. We'll break that habit as we see needed.

Luke holding him for the first time. He didn't want to touch him, just hold him (which is fine with me). Now, he keeps asking to hold him though. Yikes!

"What? He's staying?!!"
Look out big brother, little brother is here!!

Okay...couple things...

First off, Ash, you look BEAUTIFUL! Pregnancy and motherhood just suit you so well. Even after surgery.

Secondly, little Reid is ADORABLE! I just love little newborn everything. I do think he looks like Ross in some of those shots.

Lastly, like you, we are feeling SO blessed to have another baby, that we are even enjoying the middle of the night wake up calls. Seriously...I'm exhausted, but I don't care. I know he'll be a toddler before I know it and I'll miss this stuff. Soak it up, right?!

Love you guys! Can't wait to meet him!
