Gigi's 75 and ready to jive!

Our sweet Gigi aka Granny aka Mom aka Shirley May aka Aunt Shirley...this list goes on, turned 75 this year! We were thrilled to have our family from Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri and Arizona come to Dallas to celebrate with us. It was a party to remember and so much fun. I personally hadn't seen Grannys (I'll refer to her as Granny since that's what I call her) nieces since I was a baby, but it was like I saw them last week. We all just picked up where we left off.
If you haven't met Granny yet, then you're missing out. She is one of the most silly, fun, positive people I know. She is the one who taught me you make each day what it is. That when you wake up you have the choice of how you are going to handle what comes at you that day. She is a strong Christian woman, and LOVES to cook it up in the kitchen. My favorite thing she makes are patty melts...yummo, homemade rolls and brownies. I always gain 5 pounds when we see her because the cooking is so good.
We are so honored to have her in our lives, to keep us on our toes and laughing. She's always got a good one liner tucked away and boy do her great-grandkiddos love her. We're so blessed she's here to love on them they way she did on her kid and grandkids.
We love you grandmother...Happy Birthday!!

The cake was from Market Street and it was wonderful!
Gigi loves flowers, so Luke helped pick this one with the most flowers on it.
Flowers from Granny's nice Tammy in Brownsville, TX.
Silly girls. Don't poke her with that pin! ;)

All the girls (Left to Right): Amanda, Kayleigh, Mimi (Betty), Granny (Shirley), Kim (from MO), Susan (Phoenix), Mom (Michelle) and me.
Some of the boys and my wonderful husband who always goes above and beyond helping his crazy wife and the birthday parties.
Beautiful!
She probably got 75 cards, and I'm not exaggerating! People from all over the place that she's known years still send her birthday cards. It just shows how loved she is!

Luke was so helpful with the presents.

The next day the girls went to Chocolate Angel Tea Room for lunch. It was delicious and a treat for us ladies to have lunch together.
Such a big girl, ordering from the menu.
Too cute!
A great picture of mom and Mimi.
Sweet girls! And don't you love the purple?!
