Pomp and Circumstance

At the beginning of Luke's preschool year, I heard that they were planning a little graduation for the outgoing four year olds. "How cute!" I thought to myself.  Not the case once it really rolled around.  As excited as I am for Luke to be closing the door on preschool, I am NOT excited for me that he is growing up so fast.  Their sweet little graduation drove the point home big time, and this hormonally charged, 8 month pregnant mommy had a lot of tears to shed. The worst was the slide show to "Let me be little" that really drove it home.
I am so proud of the progress he has made this year, I'm just a little heartbroken this part of his life is already over.  I was warned, but I'm so thankful I've got two more to do this with.  That helps a little.

They started the program singing "Scidda-Ma-Rink" - which almost sent me over the edge.  This is what Nana sang to me and Uncle Scott when we were little. Luke's not much for showing off his singing skills in a large group setting.

Getting his diploma and "Childrens Storybook Bible"
A little clowning around with class favorite, Miss Trinity.

Time to celebrate with these tasty graduation cupcakes.  They were a hit!

Reid appreciating whoever thought snacks at graduation were a good idea.
Uncle Scott proved he really is COOL by attending graduation.

They each got to release a balloon.  Luke's green one popped, but Avery's grandma rescued the day by sneaking him a pink one to release just in time.  Whew!

Let me hold you longer.

A special delivery waiting for Luke when he got home!
