CJM - 1 month old

Happy 1st month in this world Cade James!

What a whirlwind this past month has been.  It has certainly been a month full of blessings...Cade being the biggest one of all!  He is such a sweet baby and a good little snuggler.  He is a great eater and loves to sleep...when he's being held close by and rocked.  We've gotten a few good stretches and he only continues to do better, so that's what we're working toward.  He weighs 8 pounds, 8 ounces and is 22 inches long.  What a growing boy! The other blessings we've had this month have come in the form of our loved ones.  What amazing help we've had with all of our little men.  Our sweet and wonderful Gigi came down a week before Cade was born and spent the week completely spoiling and pampering our whole family.  She cooked amazing home cookin' meals, doing laundry (including all those tiny little outfits for baby brother), ironing daddy's shirts (mom can't get even close to getting them as crisp as she does), and watching the big boys so mom and dad could get in last minute date nights.  And that was just the pre-cursor to Cade's arrival.  After he was here she stayed another two weeks to help hold, rock and feed (baby and parents).  AMAZING!  We could never thank her enough, but she was priceless in helping this mommy have an easier c-section recovery, as well as easing into welcoming our third boy into the world.  Shift the bragging over to Nana and Papa and they had the task (errr... privilege they might say), of taking the two bigger boys to Austin for a week. What a wonderful help that was.  As much as I missed them, it really allowed me time to recover from major surgery.  And they had a fantastic time!  They even got to see Grams, Granddad and Uncle Ryan while there for a fun filled day.  Grams and Grandad wrapped up the grandparent love with a bang!  They showed up in Dallas after Tour 'de Texas to provide lots of love and fun to our boys (and their parents).  They had a great time playing with the big boys (which they needed) and giving lots of love to their newest grandbaby.  Grams even took the brutal middle of the night shift.  Ross and I are so very blessed by our wonderful family who showered us with such support and love and we are so thankful for them!  Our sweet friends have been loving on us with diapers and wipes to last us 6 months (Ross' wallet thanks you), and bringing some delicious meals!  We truly are humbled.  As foggy as that first month was, I can truly say it was filled with love.  Not only for our precious baby boy, but our whole family.  Looking back, it was one of the best months for our family.  Thank you to everyone who showed such support, help, prayers and love for our family.
"I thank my God everytime I remember you." Philippians 1:3

This boy is in love with his baby brother.  I've had to keep a close eye on him to make sure that he's being careful, but he LOVES to hold him and give him his paci.

Reid has melted my heart in that anytime Cade is sad or being fed or going to sleep, he insists Cade take his (Reid's) lovey and blanket.  He carefully lays it on him and is one of the most precious things to me.
