Our sweet little roly poly Cade is 4 months old! I know I've said it before, but he is a wonderful baby and we are head over heels for him. He seems very laid back and I hope it sticks! He usually is just along for the ride, but as soon as someone starts talking to him, he's ready to talk back and give a lot of smiles. :)
Some big milestones this month include:
1. Rolling from back to tummy. And from tummy to back. Then get sad because he's usually stuck on something.
2. He tried rice cereal for the first time. Ehhh...maybe we'll try again later.
3. Cade is definitely not a fan of the paci, which is a complete change from Luke and Reid. He likes that pointer finger though. Mommy isn't quite ready to give up on this one, so she keeps paci's handy in the crib in hopes he'll play with it enough to like it.
4. Like both of his brothers, he is plagued with the 45 minute nap monster. Like clockwork, he will wake up 45 minutes into a nap. I can sometimes transition him to the swing and he'll sleep longer. I'm hoping he outgrows this phase soon. However, he's still a great night time sleeper, so if I have to choose, that's what I pick. He goes down at 8PM, dream feeds at 11PM and usually wakes up at 7AM. I can totally do that!
5. He's a jumper! We got down the trusty jumparoo and he got the hang of it right away. It's been a lifesaver as we were potty training Reid, keeping him busy while mommy was busy.
6. He's so roly! I love it! He's got lots of chub and rolls, and it's so kissable! He's wearing mostly 3-6 month clothes, but some 6-9 months work too. I think he's going to be a big boy.
7. He's not shy. He gets to talking, sometimes just to himself, and gets quite loud. A few times Daddy thought he was sad, but he wasn't...just had a lot to say, and he wanted to make sure he was heard.
It's going fast sweet baby, but we are trying to soak up as much as we can of this wonderful phase. You are loved very much!

"Why did you do that?" |
