Seventh Heaven

Two Teeth and Sitting Tall
I can't remember how I titled Luke and Reid's 7 month post, but I'm pretty sure it's been used before, because the 7th month of our little ones life has been such a joy!  He is head to toe, such a sweet baby boy, full of sweet smiles, bright eyes and a great little laugh.  In some ways I feel like I'm saying the same thing each month, but it's so true each month how much each of us are enjoying Cade.  Ross and I love how laid back and happy he is, Luke loves entertaining him and getting him to laugh and Reid insists on calling him and introducing him as "my baby" and is always wanting to hold and feed him.  If there's ever a time to "Be still my heart" it's now when there is such sweetness between them.  I know many rough and tumble days are ahead for our three boys, but my prayer is that only fosters a deep, deep friendship in their brotherhood, that lasts a lifetime.
Some milestones that Cade had this month were getting his bottom two teeth (hamburgers here we come) as well as starting to sit up on his own.  He's working really hard on getting up on all fours, but he's not quite there yet.  He is a great eater and so far hasn't refused anything.  Although, he's favorites are pears and graham crackers.  He is still taking a dream feed, although we thought for sure he'd be done by now.  But he's gulping down 6 ounces at 11PM, so Ross is still giving him the dream feed.  But I think he kind of likes that one on one time they get each night.  He has started sitting in a high chair at restaurants and loves it!  We have to clear a 10 foot radius on the table though because he grabs anything he can reach.  He thinks he's so big and loves getting to "talk" to Luke and Reid.  Speaking of, his babbling has increased significantly and he's working on lots of "mmm's", "baabaa's" and "daaa's"...so it won't be long until he's got a whole earful for us.
Naps were going good, but he's been having a hard time again taking a long nap.  Moving from 3 naps to 2 has proved a little tricky with our comings and goings.  He's still as happy as can be even with short naps and that's really the only time he gets sad is when he has to lay down for naps.  He'll get the hang of it eventually, maybe when summer rolls around and we're not on the go as much.   This little baby has been such a blessing to our family and we are so happy he's ours!
