Our sweet boy is 3/4 of a year old. Not ok. Not cool. How is he already nine months?! I know I've said it before (many times), but we are so enjoying this sweet baby! He is such a joy for our family and the perfect fit. Those piercing blue eyes get so many compliments (and "what a pretty girl", even when dressed head to toe in blue) and that sweet toothy smile can brighten even the saddest of moments. We are truly blessed. So what all has our nine month old been up to? Here are Cade's Top Nine at Nine Months:
1. He can pull to a sitting position from tummy. I didn't ever see him working on this. He just did it one day when the two of us were in the living room. He's a pro now and it's actually really nice that he can go from the laying position until sitting. Unless he's in his crib, sad that he has to take a nap. Then it's a bummer because he doesn't know how to lay back down. Hopefully he'll figure that one out soon.
2. He got 4 more teeth on top. Which equals a LOT of drool. Goodness! He had a couple of fussy days, but mostly took it like a champ and now really loves eating crackers because he can crunch them.
4. He is army crawling everywhere. He will get up on all fours and rock a a little, but once he reaches out he's back on his tummy. He's fast though and doesn't seem to mind.
5. He has moved to mostly 9-12 month clothing, but is even getting away with a few 12-18 month pieces. He's not a tiny baby.
6. Cade likes the beat and anytime he hears a song he likes to dance. He also loves his new little drum he got for Easter from Grams and Granddad. I have a feeling we might have a music fan on our hands.
7. Since the cold weather has finally moved on, we switched Cade to a forward facing stroller. He loves this and loves getting to see all the things he was missing before. However, his mom is missing getting to see his face all the time when he's in the stroller. We can't have it all.
8. Cade celebrated his first Easter. He loved playing with all the Easter eggs and even got a golden egg in his little house.
9. With all of his moving we had to put the gate at the top of the stairs. This is a big deal for our family, even though it's well worth the safety, it's just a phase of baby-hood. However, this time, we have six year old big brother who can open the gate and that's pretty awesome. He's very cautious of Cade's safety, so he does a good job manning the gate.
Happy Nine Months Bay-Bay Cade!
