Thank goodness they did not play "Let me be little" this year at Luke's graduation. However, I still teared up. It was a precious graduation, but what got me is when his teacher, Mrs. Huckabee (who we love, adore, praise and will greatly miss), said "They will always be yours, but they will also have a little part of me in them." How true, and how thankful we are for the wonderful year she helped Luke have. He had such an amazing kindergarten experience and grew so much academically and socially. He learned to read this year...and to quote his teacher, was "her best reader." I'll take it. He also greatly improved on his handwriting and math skills. He said at the end of the year, when he grows up he wants to be a police officer.
We will certainly miss having him in a smaller classroom setting and more so in a Christian environment where he was encouraged with God's truth daily. Our prayer for first grade is that he will still enjoy school, but that he will have a Christian influence around him. Great job graduate! We love you!
